IFLR India Capital Markets Forum

13 December 2011 | Taj Mahal Palace | Mumbai | India

India’s capital markets remain an exciting proposition for domestic issuers looking to expand at home and abroad despite shares being at a year-low. The strong markets somewhat unfairly reflect the global crunch on shares. IPOs are still being planned for power investments and as a means for private equity exits.

In addition, Sebi is planning to allow hedge funds to float in India. Elsewhere, issuers are weighing up traditional capital raising techniques with more alternative strategies such as external commercial borrowings, debenture offers to retail investors and corporate fixed deposit schemes. On the regulatory front, there have also been some interesting developments concerning foreign institutional investor rules.

IFLR’s India Capital Markets Forum brings together key regulators with leading practitioners from banks, corporates and top international and local law firms to discuss the vital issues for raising capital in 2012 in a panel session format.

The forum will discuss the best ways to raise capital in India, the ideal preparations for floating a company, how to access debt markets with high yield instruments and will provide a comparison of the best methods of raising debt internationally.

Benefits of attending the forum:

• Find out the latest considerations for listing Indian companies abroad
• Learn how to structure Indian and international debt and equity-linked offerings
• Discuss the regulations concerning SEC registered offerings, Rule 144a and Reg S
• Discover how due diligence differs domestically and internationally
• Hear analysis on how to prepare your company to float locally and abroad
• Listen to a detailed discussion on the future of IPO structuring in India
