India and Brazil to file WTO case over generic drugs

India and Brazil are to launch WTO cases against the EU as part of a dispute over the seizure of Indian generic drugs at European ports

A WTO official told Managing IP that the Organisation had not yet received a request for consultations, which is the first step in bringing a formal dispute.

However, ambassadors for both India and Brazil confirmed to Reuters recently that they intend to launch the cases.
